Raised Beds

The number one way of living in a state of ultimate health and well-being is through nutrition.
It is very true that "You are what you eat."

The best way to receive optimal nutrition is by growing your own organic vegetables and fruit using our Raised Bed System.

The Growing Medium and Essential Elements (EE) that are used in this system provide plants with the perfect balance of pure nutrients.

A standard size, raised bed, is 4' by 16', using 8" X 8" x 16" standard concrete blocks, stacked two high to enclose the planting medium. There are many garden bed layouts that are beautiful variations in size and shape one of the most popular is called the Eden II. These variations may be seen by downloading the book from the "gardeningrevolution.com" website.

The Growing Medium (aka Premix) which replaces any potting soil, dirt, or manure, is composed of rice hulls, organic composted cotton burrs, and peat moss.  This mixture is Ph Balanced and is Organic.

If you do not want weeds in your garden DON'T PLANT THEM. Most gardens get weeds from two sources - the dirt they are planted in and manure.  We do not use either of these, which
means we also don't have e-coli or salmonella.

"Essential Elements" -- When the bed is prepared, the Growing Medium is mixed with a perfected type of organic fertilizer called Essential Elements (EE).This "EE" contains 42 different trace elements which are key in providing nutrition for the plants. The "EE" configuration of N_P_K is 4-3-3. This fertilizer has been 'tweaked' and perfected over a period of 20 years in order to provide optimal nutrition for plants.

After the initial composition of your growing beds and the harvesting of your crops, you will need to add only one quart cup of EE per each 4' X 4' section of the bed and mix it into the top 2 to 3 inches of medium before planting your next crop.  A 4' X 16' raised bed can be sustained easily for 2 years using one 5-gallon bucket of Essential Elements.

Remember your raised bed will last many years. The growing medium is reused each time you plant a crop but you add Essential Elements to feed the plants each time you plant.
Each year add 1 bag of premix. The cost to maintain your bed in top production is approximately $60.00 per year.
